Gentil ran into his Inn room and looked around. Goodness… oh goodness what do I have to wear? He pulled his bag apart, robes flying everywhere. Dinner? What do I wear to dinner? It hasn’t been that long since you were a noble’s husband!

Gentil rifled through them on the bed and picked one that he thought was simple, yet not as wrinkled as the others. Perfect. He threw off the wrap he was wearing and quickly slipped into the other, smoothing it out with his hands. He was going over the conversation in his mind. He’d not had such conversation since… since Sargonas? Oh no, Riley was not quite so forward as Sargonas. Gentil giggled to himself, biting his lip before he looked for that silver comb.

He sat on the edge of the messy bed, trying to take the tangles out of his hair. His thoughts ran over everything that was said and he tried not to get an ulcer. Darnath told you that you deserve nice things… this is nice!

You healed him. Eased his pain for his injury and now he is thanking you. Yes, a nice dinner to compliment your help. Oh Gen just enjoy yourself!

Gentil turned for a moment, looking toward the mirror that he’d turned toward the wall. For a split second he considered that he should perhaps make sure he was proper looking but he quickly pushed the thought away and continued combing. Should he feel guilty for enjoying himself? The others were hard at work and yes he was going to join them soon but… he considered the exchange. Gentil’s shoulders sagged. It had happened before and perhaps Riley thought Gentil was a lady…

He furrowed and slowed his pace, holding the comb on his lap. This was silly. Riley was a sure gentleman, a right soldier and Gentil couldn’t stand him up now, no matter what. He’d accepted the invitation and he would have nice conversation and food that wasn’t rations for dinner! Gentil nodded to himself and slipped on his boots. He ran over ideas in his head for what he could talk about.
